Everything that’s changed in StudyCove, newest first.

  1. Latest

    Kinder words, and plainer addresses

    • The front page wears the app’s own colours, and shows what the modules do together.
    • An About page, a privacy policy, terms of use and a cookies page, linked from the foot of every page.
    • Today says the time of day beside the date: “Monday evening, 5 October”.
    • A review ends by saying when the next card is due.
    • Empty pages say what to do first, in plainer words.
    • The app’s addresses lost their /app: studycove.app/today, /focus, /flashcards. Old links still work.
  2. Settings, and a new front page

    • Settings is a place of its own: the sidebar swaps to its sections, and Back takes you out.
    • studycove.app has a new front page.
  3. Flashcards

    • Write cards in Markdown: a question and an answer, or a sentence with a gap in double braces.
    • A review brings each card back just before you'd forget it, and counts only what's waiting.
    • Cram a deck before an exam, import cards from files, and export a deck.
    • On a Mac or iPhone the web app now uses the system's own font, a size larger.
    • Pages arrive and the sidebar folds the way they do on the Mac.
  4. A Markdown editor

    • Write sheets and cards in Markdown, styled as you type, with a preview beside them.
    • A change made on another device appears in the editor while it's open.
  5. Import your notes

    • Bring in notes you already have, a file or a whole folder at a time.
  6. Blurting from your own notes

    • Write your own sheets and keep them in folders.
    • Give a folder a subject and an exam date, and everything in it follows.
  7. Modules

    • Switch off the parts of StudyCove you don't use. Nothing they hold is lost.
    • Folders, sheets and flashcards sync between your devices.
  8. StudyCove on the web

    • studycove.app opens, with Balance, History and search, and the week written once.
    • Focus sessions, a full-screen timer, and Settings.
    • Tasks with parts and links, each with a page of its own.
  9. Sign in and sync

    • Sign in with a code sent by email. There is no password to remember.
    • Your library syncs between this browser and your account.
    • Today shows the week, with a day either side.
  10. The first version

    • Tick off the day's tasks and write a line about each.
